JDS was incorporated in 1986, initially providing technical consultancy services and technology transfer to major in coal, power and steel sectors. For the last twenty years JDS  are in the field of Hydraulic Engineering and Material Handling. JDS has two collaborations / tie-up with Hansa Flex AG and Zemag GmbH, Germany. 
JDS has thriving marketing agency department which represents companies like Skodock from Germany in the field of engineering products and services. JDS has diversified into Software Development since 2003 and has worked in Japan for development of Telecom and Web Application software. JDS now actively pursuing marketing of software projects in the fast growing global market. JDS has developed its own 30,000 sq. ft. work center in the Salt Lake Software Development Zone, Kolkata, India.
